The type of film is the biggest factor in pricing. Here is how the four main tint types compare in cost for a full vehicle installation at a typical shop.
Cheapest option. Provides basic privacy and appearance but minimal heat rejection. Fades and turns purple within a few years. We do not install dyed film.
Better heat rejection than dyed film, but contains metal particles that interfere with cell signals, GPS, and Bluetooth. Not recommended for modern vehicles.
Good heat rejection with a clean, matte finish. Will not fade. A solid mid-range option, but does not match ceramic for heat performance.
